CPAT TRAINING

8-Week CPAT training program

The Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) is an essential evaluation for prospective firefighters, serving as a standardized benchmark for assessing physical fitness and readiness to meet the demands of the profession. This program is specifically designed to equip fire academy students with the skills necessary to successfully pass the National Testing Network's Firefighter Candidate Physical Ability Test, thereby enhancing their employability. Training will focus on developing both aerobic and anaerobic conditioning, emphasizing cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, and muscular endurance. Through a series of tailored exercises and a comprehensive training regimen, our program targets the specific muscle groups and endurance levels required for critical tasks such as stair climbing, forcible entry, ceiling breach/pull and other simulated testing activities.
